Why Trust Shaklee?
I was truly meant to find Shaklee. It was first brought into my life ironically by my Grandma - she would rub their Herbal Blend Multi-Purpose Cream clockwise on my upset stomach as a child. Clear as can be, I remember one day when I was home sick I looked at the cream bottle in her hands as I lie in her bed and knew I'd never seen it at the supermarket (Waldbaum's at that time), so I had to ask...
Me: "What kind of cream is that, Grandma?"
Grandma: "Menthol cream. It helps when stomachs hurt."
Me: "Who makes it?"

Me: "Who makes that? What's the brand?"
Grandma: "Shaklee is the brand."
Me: "You get that at the supermarket?"
Grandma: "No, I get it from my friend."
Me: "What friend? Why don't they have that at the supermarket."
Grandma: (She said her name, but I don't recall it and I didn't know her. So I made crinkled up my face, which my Grandma knew well enough as me questioning her.) "You don't know her. But, she is my good friend."
Me: "Then why don't they have it at the supermarket, too? How do you know it is going to help?"
Grandma: "It is the best there is, nena, and I trust my friend, so you don't need to worry because you can trust me."
TRUST. That is what it all comes down to and it was at this moment that I first trusted Shaklee. Though at that age it was completely foreign to me that things could come from somewhere other than the supermarket. I mean, there was the deli, pharmacy, bank, gas station, etc. but they were specific brick and mortar places that each had their specialties. The idea of being able to get something from someone you know personally was something different and intriguing to me. But, I was sick and never thought about it again after that. Never in a million years would I have thought that Shaklee would one day find its way back into my life, nor be able to open my eyes to a whole new way of living and allow me to be that trusted friend for others.
